De La Soul’s first ever Tiny Desk Concert dropped on March 3rd — De La Soul Day. Pos and Maseo balancing classics with tracks from Cabin in the Sky, their first album in nine years and their first since Dave’s passing, though his voice is still woven through it. A name placard reading simply “Dave” sits front and centre throughout.
It’s joyful, it’s bittersweet, and at around 23 minutes it’s the perfect length for a Friday morning. Give it the time it deserves.
